Artist Books, Broadsides, Prints, and Ephemera
Lisa is fascinated with old books and historical printing techniques.
Off Piste Press was named after Lisa's love of backcountry skiing, mountain culture, and the choice to go where there is no path, leaving a trail, rather than following one. Working with both hot and cold type, she prints primarily on a Vandercook 4T cylinder press. Projects include broadsides, artist books, cards, invitations, and other prints.

Get Lost
The concept for this book came when I was working long hours in an office as a financial analyst. I had a yearning to escape the artificial reality we create for ourselves and experience the simplicity and peace I feel in nature. I find city life overly complicated with misplaced priorities and values. The mountains have always had a strong pull for me. Being outdoors keeps me grounded and reminds me that our basic life needs are, in reality, quite simple. The image featured is of the Rockwall Trail. This is a favorite multi-day hike located in Kootenay National Park, British Columbia. Linocut hand printed on domestic etch bound in an accordion style by the artist. Variable edition of 32 (12 leather with blind tooling, 20 in cedar bark paper with gold tooling)
